Organometallic Heterocycles

Organometallic heterocycles cover a wide variety of products produced by the bonding of a heterocycle to a metal.

The most significant are:

Lithium and magnesium compounds, which are nucleophilic and basic.
Zinc, aluminum, and titanium compounds, which nucleophilic and usually not basic.
Compounds of tin, boron, and silicon.
Most importantly, compounds of the transition metals, especially palladium, copper, nickel, and rhodium.
